Fire Safety Consultation
Fire safety audits, design review and NOC support for plants, buildings, hospitals and malls, with a written plan you can act on.
Every building burns differently. A chemical plant, a high-rise office, a hospital ward and a shopping mall each have different fire loads, different people inside and different ways for a small fire to become a serious one. Our consultation starts with how your premises are actually used, then maps the protection, procedures and paperwork to that reality.
A qualified consultant visits the site, reviews drawings and existing systems, and gives you a written report ranking findings by risk, with a practical action plan, so you can sequence spend sensibly. For a structured site survey on its own, see Fire Risk Assessment.
Industrial plants and factories
- Identifying the fire load: raw materials, finished goods, dust, solvents and flammable liquid or gas storage
- Hazard-based protection: choosing extinguisher types, hydrant coverage, sprinklers and foam where needed
- Hot work, electrical and process risks, with permit and housekeeping controls
- Hydrant ring main, pump room, water storage and hose coverage review
- Fire detection and alarm zoning suited to production, storage and utility areas
- Separation, storage layout and flammable-material handling rules
- Emergency response team, mock drills and on-site emergency planning
- Documentation for insurers and the fire department
Commercial buildings and high-rises
- Fire safety review against the National Building Code (NBC) provisions applicable to your building type and height
- Means of egress: staircases, travel distance, exit signage and emergency lighting
- Fire detection, alarm, public address and manual call point coverage
- Wet riser, hydrant, sprinkler and fire pump arrangements, and their upkeep
- Compartmentation, fire doors and sealing of service openings
- Smoke control, staircase pressurisation and fire lift provisions where required
- Refuge areas, assembly points and occupant evacuation planning
- Annual compliance checks that keep your fire safety certificate in order
Hospitals and healthcare
- Protecting patients who cannot evacuate themselves: horizontal evacuation and defend-in-place planning
- Fire compartments around wards, ICUs, operation theatres and critical care areas
- Medical gas and oxygen cylinder storage, handling and leak response
- Fire detection and suppression suited to electrical rooms, imaging and server areas
- Emergency lighting, clear exit routes and unobstructed corridors for beds and stretchers
- Staff roles during a fire: who raises the alarm, who moves patients, who calls the fire brigade
- Drills that account for night staffing levels
- Documentation to support accreditation and statutory inspections
Malls, retail and public assembly
- Crowd movement and exit capacity for peak footfall
- Atrium, escalator and basement smoke spread, and smoke exhaust arrangements
- Food court and kitchen fire protection, including hood and duct suppression
- Tenant fit-out checks: materials, electrical loads, and keeping tenants within the building's fire plan
- Storage and display practices that keep exits and fire equipment clear
- Alarm, public address and staff training for fast, calm evacuation
- Coordination between mall management, tenants and security
- Regular inspection and testing schedule with records
