Standard steel extinguishers cannot enter an MRI room — the magnetic field will pull them across the space. This unit is built with a non-magnetic aluminium body and UL-listed FE-36 (HFC-236fa) clean agent gas, so it can be positioned inside or immediately outside diagnostic imaging suites without becoming a projectile hazard. FE-36 is compliant with ASTM-D6541-11 and approved under the US EPA's Significant New Alternative Policy, leaving no residue on imaging equipment.
